學校始建於1981年，1981年8月至1987年學校名稱為遼中縣城鎮高中，1987年8月更名為遼中縣第二高級中學。1981年至1989年1月校址在現遼中縣城鎮壹中，1989年2月遷入現校址（遼中縣政府路139號）。1981年至1993年8月為壹般高中，1993年晉升為沈陽市重點高中。1998年被國家教育部命名為全國中小學現代教育技術實驗學校。2009年通過沈陽市首批標準化高中驗收，2011年實現了與省級示範高中同批次錄取。

 

    The school wasfounded in 1981. From August 1981 to 1987, the school name was Liaozhong CountyTown High School. In August 1987, it was renamed as Liaozhong County SecondHigh School. From 1981 to January 1989, the school was located in the  place where Liaozhong County Town No. 1 HighSchool lies now. It moved to the current school site in February 1989 (No. 139,Government Road, Liaozhong County). From 1981 to August 1993, the school was ageneral high school. In 1993, it was promoted to a key senior high school inShenyang. In 1998, it was named the National Primary and Secondary SchoolModern Educational Technology Experimental School by the Ministry of Education.In 2009, it passed the first batch of standardized high school acceptance inShenyang City. In 2011, it achieved the same batch admission with theprovincial demonstration high school.

 

    學校建校初期，占地面積僅4.2萬平方米，學校主要建築是八棟紅磚瓦房，建築面積3057平方米，學制為二年制，1983年暑期開始向三年制過渡，只有18個教學班，1000余名學生；1989年遷入新校址，占地面積5.4萬平方米，至1993年學校有30個教學班，建築面積2.1萬平方米；2004年8月1日，學校新教學樓破土動工，興建示範校的第壹期工程開始啟動，2005年8月25日，全體教職工搬入新教學樓，原教學樓改為男生公寓。

 

    At thebeginning, the school covered an area of 42,000 square meters only. The mainbuilding of the school were those eight red brick buildings with a buildingarea of 3,057 square meters.The school system was a two-year system. In thesummer of 1983, the transition to the three-year system began. There were 18classes, more than 1,000 students at that time.In 1989, it moved to the newcampus, covering an area of 54,000 square meters. By 1993, the school had 30classes with a construction area of 21,000 square meters. On August 1, 2004,the construction of school's new teaching building started. The first phase ofthe project began. On August 25, 2005, all the faculty and staff moved into thenew teaching building, and the original teaching building was changed to a malestudents apartment.

 

      1981至1984年8月，佟忠信任校長，郭恩會任書記；1984年9月至2004年3月，巴啟金任校長兼黨支部書記；2004年3月起，魏世家任校長兼黨支部副書記，董清海任黨支部書記兼第壹副校長。2013年8月起，張世利任校長兼黨總支部書記。正是在歷屆領導的帶領下，二高人憑借“無私奉獻、艱苦奮鬥、高度負責、科學創新、團結壹致”這五種精神，推動二高中不斷發展、前進，在遼中教育史上書寫亮麗的篇章。

 

    From August 1981to August 1984, Tong Zhongxin served as the principal and Guo Enhui served asparty branch secretary; from September 1984 to March 2004, Ba Qijin served asprincipal and party branch secretary; from March 2004, Wei Shijia served asprincipal and party branch deputy secretary. Dong Qinghai served as partybranch secretary and first vice president. Since August 2013, Zhang Shili hasserved as the principal and secretary of the Party branch.
